Our Impact

Problem/Challenge

Understanding the significant changes happening within the satellite communications environment and particularly emerging developments in multi-constellation ground segment user terminals.

Task

To provide an assessment of UK industrial and academic capability and capacity in user terminals to support future planning. 22 industrial and academic organisations participated and 16 international perspectives and markets were assessed.

Impact

The report provided a clear view of current and future UK terminal capability, with recommendations to better exploit this capability, both in the UK and for export.

"UKDSC has gone above and beyond. The study has directly shaped our Capability Management plan and Capability Management strategies covering where we are going in the future, and decisions on how we go about it. Tapping into UKDSC is a live thermometer of what is going on and we will continue to work with them."
