Problem/Challenge

We were tasked with understanding the UK industrial and academic capability to deliver Radio Frequency Directed Energy Weapons (RF DEW).

Task

An assessment of UK industrial and academic capability to support future RF DEW plans. Over 25 industrial and academic organisations participated in the task, which also assessed the international perspectives and markets.

Impact

The report highlighted the strong UK capability in RF DEW, the immediate battlefield need for this capability and the actions needed to ensure the UK maximises its opportunity to develop and export RF DEW products.

"UKDSC helped us to get a comprehensive understanding of the various parts of the RF DEW ecosystem, when directed energy is becoming more and more important in defence."
