The UKDSC continues to support the UK Delegation attending DSEI Japan in Tokyo. Day 2, Highlights include the ‘International Cooperation on Defence Equipment’ conference, a highly informative event which briefed on ‘The principles of evaluating the transfer of Defence Equipment’ and ‘Possible revisions to the Principle of Defence Equipment Transfer’.
The UKDSC in conjunction with UKDSE and the Defence Growth Partnership were also hosted by Nobuhiro Kawahara, General Manager at SJAC on a tour of SJAC member companies at the show. Highlights included visits to the stands of IHI Corporation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, NEC Corporation, Toshiba Infrastructure Systems and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).
Ian Lane, Head of International Engagement for Japan commented “the UKDSC were honoured to be one of the 30 UK organisations at DSEI Japan and been able to engage with a number of high level discussions with UKG and Japanese Industry around long term collaboration opportunities. This is my first visit to Tokyo and Japan and I would like to express my appreciation to the show organisers for an excellent event and to especially thank Nobuhiro Kawahara, General Manager at SJAC for hosting members of the UKDSE, DGP and UKDSC.’
