Our Impact

UKDSC worked with Ministry of Defence Trade and Strategic Exports Policy team to provide independent market assessment. This analysis has been helpful when assessing Typhoon’s evolution and identifying new export markets.

Our work supported the MOD to plug the potential production gap between current Typhoon production and the new Tempest fighter by looking at overseas export opportunities.

Our assessment:

  • Provided an independent assessment of global markets future fighter requirements
  • Assessed historical global Combat Air campaigns to understand what makes a successful offering
  • Highlighted export markets where the UK could have beneficial win criteria to success

Our work led to the identification of two new markets which supported in country engagement and the development of a new strategic approach.

“What the UKDSC produced was really helpful especially in refining the language in terms of the overseas opportunity. The UKDSC could not have been more collaborative throughout the project lifecycle”. Trade and Strategic Exports Policy, MOD.
