UKDSC Hosts Indonesian Lemhannas Delegation

The UK Defence Solution Centre (UKDSC) welcomed a senior delegation from  “Lemhannas” – the “National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia” to Farnborough on Tuesday 18th June.  Lemhannas carries out government tasks in the education sector at the national level – including the strategic assessment of national security and the strengthening of national values.  The delegation members’ backgrounds included the military, government, police, academia, industry and female empowerment, and they were accompanied by staff from the Department of International Trade’s Defence and Security Organisation (DIT DSO).

First, Andrew Radcliffe, Executive Director – International Markets at the UKDSC provided an overview of the Defence Growth Partnership (DGP) and of the UKDSC itself, as well as an update on the Centre’s latest Market Intelligence activities.  Next, Dr Llyr Jones, Executive Director – Strategy, briefed the group on the Strategic Capability Development activities ongoing at the UKDSC, and also on the broad based and flexible approach to international collaboration that the UKDSC champions.  Finally, Professor Rob Rolley, Head of Innovation presented the Innovation and Technology development activities which the UKDSC is championing  – highlighting in particular the benefits that accrue from cross sector innovation.

The session was highly engaging with good interaction throughout.
