UKDSC Celebrates success at the Wales Technology Awards, 2018

Rob Rolley, UKDSC Head of Innovation, attended the Wales Technology Awards 2018 on 03 May.

The Secretary of State for Wales, Alun Cairns, joined the ESTnet, to honour the achievements of the companies that are driving the future of Welsh technology,.  Recognised as the must-attend annual event for Wales’ technology industry, the event saw over 400 guests attend, representing the country’s largest technology companies, SMEs, and most ambitious start-ups.

Cardiff’s prestigious City Hall provided the backdrop for the awards, on an evening that saw nine companies claim the industry’s most coveted accolades. The winners included AMPLYFI, Capital Network Solutions, DevOpsGuys, BCC IT, Signum Health Ltd, Silvertel, We Build Bots, and Wales Interactive.

Speaking at the awards, Secretary of State for Wales Alun Cairns, said: “The sheer range of technological innovation here in Wales is breathtaking. It ranges from the most advanced algorithms of Artificial Intelligence, to the way technology is influencing the construction of traditional products like cars.”
