UKDSC Appoints Mark Barclay as Chief Executive Officer

The UK Defence Solutions Centre (UKDSC) has appointed former Sector President of Cobham Mission Systems, Mark Barclay, as its new Chief Executive Officer effective from early January. As the innovation engine of the Defence Growth Partnership, the UKDSC is focussed on identifying future capability requirements, and supporting technology development to meet the needs of international partners and export customers.

Barclay joins with extensive experience gained within the UK and Global aerospace and defence sectors. He’s held a number of senior executive positions working with Thales, Airbus and Cobham and has been heavily involved in Platform, System and Sub-System technology developments throughout his career.

Mark Barclay said: “I am delighted to be joining UKDSC at this exciting time for the Defence Growth Partnership and the UK Defence industry. Working in the UKDSC’s collaborative environment alongside both government and industry, I believe passionately that the UK defence industry can continue to grow and export its products and services across the world.”
