UKDSC is delighted to announce that Dr Llyr Jones will join the UKDSC as Executive Director Strategy on Monday 4th March 2019. Llyr, a direct ADS hire, will report to me and will also join the UKDSC executive leadership team.
Llyr has been working within the defence, security and aerospace sectors for over 25 years, and throughout this time has held a wide range of leadership posts at BAE Systems, Thales, MBDA and their predecessor companies. Llyr’s career spans five continents, with specific international postings including Japan and France. Strategy, corporate development and business development have been the core themes running through his executive roles.
Llyr is a Chartered Director and Chartered Engineer as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He holds degrees from several UK universities – including a PhD from the University of Southampton and an MBA from the Loughborough University School of Business and Economics.
