The UKDSC recently had the pleasure, in conjunction with the UK Ministry of Defence DE&S International Relations Group, of hosting the National Armament Directors of France, Germany, Italy, UK and the USA. The visit was an opportunity to showcase how the UK MoD is supporting innovation and how the UK’s innovative capabilities could support NATO’s capability development.
The highly interactive event saw 30 officials from the delegations given the opportunity to experience cutting edge UK technology in: autonomous vehicles, hypersonics, laser directed energy weapons, training and simulation and joint intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
It was also noted that this event was the first that UKDSC has hosted in a NATO context since the UKDSC became an official node in the NATO Innovation Network.
