Minister for Defence Procurement Visits UKDSC

Harriett Baldwin MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State and Minister for Defence Procurement, visited the UK Defence Solutions Centre (UKDSC) on 8th December 2017.

During her visit she was briefed by the senior leadership team and was also given a tour of the UKDSC to explain how it operated and provided collaborative support to government and companies competing in the global defence market.

The UKDSC team presented their strategy; focusing on the international business opportunities, UK capability development strategies, and engagements that support the UKDSC vision. The UKDSC highlighted support for defence and technology innovation and explained how the UKDSC operates and provides collaborative support to government and companies competing and partnering in the global defence market.

Harriett Baldwin said “We’re spending millions to drive innovation that ensures our Armed Forces are fit for the future and our allies around the globe should benefit from that too. The Defence Solutions Centre is making it easier for British firms to do international business, boosting their exports, our national prosperity and, ultimately, leading to a safer world.”
