UK Defence Solutions Centre hosts visit by Minister for Trade & Investment Francis Maude
Lord Francis Maude, the Government’s Minister for Trade and Investment, visited the UK Defence Solution Centre (UKDSC) at the Cody Technology Park in Farnborough today.
Steve Brittan, CEO of the UKDSC gave Lord Maude a tour of the Centre which included an overview of the UKDSC led Defence Growth Partnership (DGP) Innovation Challenge, and meeting some of the winners from the initial phase of work.
The UKDSC is an industry-first, bringing together experts from across the defence sector to work in an independent, collaborative environment in order to develop bespoke defence solutions for international customers. The Centre is a key initiative of the Defence Growth Partnership, a partnership between industry and Government which seeks to secure a thriving defence sector capable of delivering security, growth and prosperity.
Steve Brittan, CEO of the UKDSC added: “We were delighted to host Laud Maude at the UKDSC today. It was a valuable opportunity to highlight the work that is being carried out here, and I know the team appreciated being able to explain their approach to this new and exciting way of developing world-class defence solutions.”
